This is my second pair of this shoe. The fit of the shoe is good. The BOA system works well, all though I do find myself having to tighten them on longer rides. For me, the shoe really shines when it comes to protection. The stiff toe helps prevent injuries when I clip rocks going through tech sections. I don't clip rocks often, but when it happens that support in nice.
Had a pair for about a year. Only issue is the sole keeps coming apart from the shoe at the toe. Had to reglue them with gorilla glue nearly all the way across on both shoes. Fit well really wish the adhesive was better. Especially for how expensive they are.
Hi Andrew, thank you for your feedback. We're glad the fit worked well, but we're sorry to hear about the sole issue. If you'd like, please contact us directly for further assistance. You can check out our warranty page here: https://rideconcepts.com/pages/warranty-policy

Breaking took awhile with some weird pinch points on top of foot but now my daily shoe.
I've been wearing them for about 6 months now
Like other people I ran into inconsistent sizing. I had the old tallac boa and loved them. I had to buy both the 9.5 and 10 trying to get the fit right, and settled on the 10. I asked for the new mid version for Christmas and my girlfriend bought me them, size 10. The new 10 is bigger than the old 10 and they fit loose. Frustrating when they cost 250 a pair
I bought the first version of the Tallac Mid BOA in 2024 and the wrap on top (which kinds of replaces the laces) was too long and it was almost touching the BOA before the shoe was properly tight.
They fixed it with this new version, where the wrap on top is slightly shorter, so I can fully tie the shoe and it feels great! Overall same good quality, the sole seems as tough as the previous model. We'll see how it performs on the trails this season.
