Product Performance
Different terrain and riding styles can benefit from specific shoe features. Grip, protection, weight, and breathability are all factors that can affect your on-bike experience.
Level 5 Flex, found only on our Clipless offerings, is very stiff—designed for ultimate power transfer and support for hard charging riders. The stiff platform reduces foot-fatigue and offers stability for big miles and rough terrain.
Our medium volume last can accommodate a vast range of foot shapes, but an average volume foot will be most comfortable. Larger feet will be comfortable sizing a half-size up.
Bought these on sale which made them a great buy. I used the online tool for determining my size as some reviews said they run a bit large but found they were a bit too tight so returned them for the next size up. Customer service was excellent!
Très bonne qualité et semelle rigide. Bonne protection pour les orteils et chevilles. J'adore !
I will admit, when these arrived I thought they were terrible. I gambled and glad I did. I mowed the lawn three times in them and they were fine. Use these for trail building/work days and love them. protects my ankle bone that always gets beat up on roots and rocks. Also great when pedaling around. The boa is awesome when these get filthy vs laces that I am not a fan of and better than velco that clogs up. The sole stiffness is as described, walkable but not flimsy. I have 5 full days of trail work in these since purchase pedaling and walking with no blisters.
I had a hard time with the idea of spending $200 or more on a pair of mountain bike shoes but I’ve always liked Ride Concepts and previously wore Accomplice Clip BOA. Great shoe! The recent sale down to ~$100 was something I couldn’t pass up so I bought 3 different pairs :). Tallac Mid BOA Clip AND Flat along with Tallac Flat Lace. I’m very happy with all 3 although I don’t have a ton of miles on them. $270 total for 3 pairs that retail for ~$600 is a steal and I’m set for a few seasons. Everyone should take advantage of the sale while it last on their older SKUs. If you are wondering, they aged very well being stored there for a few years. I couldn’t tell they weren’t produced yesterday.
I feel the shoe is well made but there are some challenges like the BOA doesn't tighten enough making the shoe but loosely fit. The shoe is good to be worn with a padded socks else it kind of starts to bite around areas where the pressure points are on the feet while riding. I like the make and quality of the shoe.
